Religion & Family

Family is a key institution in the lives of children.BSF acknowledges the impact of families and how they shape the next generation. Religious belief and practices are fundamental to shaping family functioning across different cultures in the world.
Studies have shown a positive relationship between internal aspects related to faith e.g religious behavior, religious adherence, strong faith and an individual’s level of resilience and overall family wellbeing.
In contemporary society, as families navigate through increasingly complex challenges and rapid changes, there exists a pressing need for the empowerment of families through a grounding in religious basics. Research and data indicate a noticeable shift in family dynamics, where traditional values and principles are frequently overlooked, leading to a sense of disconnection, confusion, and instability within familial units.
In response to the observed societal challenges impacting family dynamics and the diminishing emphasis on religious basics within familial structures, there is a discernible need for interventions that empower families with essential religious teachings. Current trends suggest a pervasive disintegration of traditional values, resulting in a sense of alienation and instability within families. Recognizing the intrinsic value of religious fundamentals in shaping ethical frameworks, cultivating familial resilience, and fostering unity, there is a compelling urgency to explore avenues that equip families with a solid grounding in these principles.
Addressing this imperative, Beliab Skills Foundation (BSF) seeks to bridge this gap through targeted trainings and meaningful engagements designed to empower families with the essential building blocks of religious teachings as well as implementing family skills interventions. By strategically integrating these initiatives, BSF endeavors to fortify family cohesion, promote resilience, and enhance overall familial well-being within the context of contemporary challenges and societal changes. We put in use Bible ideas on permeating everyday family life.
